Autumn colours are slowly starting to boast their reds and golds in Port Franks, Ontario, Canada. Tis the season for Apple Cider, Pumpkins, Wagon Rides and Pies as the little ones are already planning their Halloween costumes. Fall Fairs are the favourite weekend go to boasting rides, music, food and competitions.
Come stay at Port Franks Getaway and enjoy long walks on the almost deserted beach, private sunsets and the many fall attractions normally reserved for the local residents.
The Forest Fall Fair which runs from September 21 to 23, 2018, boasts Pay one Price Midway Ride Passes, a petting zoo, derbies, horse show, barrel racing and a whole lot more.
Twin Pines Cider House and Orchards is one of my favourite place to visit year round, but Fall is extra special. Pumpkins, squash and gourd displays are a delight for young and old alike. You can pick your own apples, taste ciders or buy some of the home baked treats and preserves – all organic! Sundays they offer free wagon rides and orchard tours. Hot cider doughnuts are a Autumn specialty; just be careful because they are addictive.
Farmer’s Markets, Volk markets and Flea markets round out the September offerings. Cool nights by the firepit are the perfect end to the adventurous days.
